Small Business & Nonprofit Energy Efficiency
Con Edison pays most of the cost when small businesses and nonprofits upgrade to efficient lighting, HVAC, refrigeration, and heat pumps.
On average the program covers up to 70% of the cost of energy-efficiency upgrades installed through a participating contractor, and up to 50% of building-electrification (heat pump) work. Some measures are installed at no cost.
Small business and nonprofit customers in Con Edison's electric service territory (New York City and most of Westchester County). Houses of worship count as nonprofits here. The exact incentive depends on the equipment, the building, and the project cost.
Choose a participating contractor from Con Edison's list, or submit the interest form on the program page and the program's implementation partner (Willdan) will contact you — coned-SmallBiz@willdan.com for questions. Your contractor files the incentive paperwork.
